Hi! I’m Jenny Bones and I teach accessible, acceptance based yoga. This means that ALL bodies are welcome in my classes. I believe that everyone has the right to explore the many benefits of yoga regardless of ability, size, age, gender, ethnicity, religion, economic status, or any other barrier to inclusivity.
I am a 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. I am also a certified Yoga for All teacher. My classes are Hatha style, but slowed down significantly to allow room for body awareness and curiosity. Each class begins with centering (mindfulness) and a breathing exercise. Then we explore asana (poses) together as a group. We take time to build the poses from the ground up, and I give lots of variations for each one. This way, you can choose your own adventure and decide how you want to explore. Perhaps you want to challenge yourself by trying something new. Maybe you find that subtle movements are what your body needs that day. Whatever your individual needs are, I will be there to help keep you safe, and guide you along the way. Class always ends with savasana (quiet relaxation/meditation). The lights are dimmed, and we take time to rest. This is an important part of a yoga class! So is laughter, music, and not taking things too seriously. I hope to meet you soon!
